Centre for Language Studies
The Centre for Language Studies at SLIDA conducts Sinhala, Tamil, and English language programs mainly for public servants to develop their proficiency in the official languages and the link language. The official language programs (Sinhala and Tamil) are conducted in collaboration with the Department of Official Languages for participants of the induction training programs of the All Island Services.

All these programs are conducted both as calendar programs and customized programs. Apart from these, other customized training programs can also be arranged at the request of the client organizations.
SLIDA has a carefully chosen pool of resource persons to conduct these programs, maintaining very high standards as the leading public sector training institute in the country. Most of them have extensive experience in teaching English to adults at university and other tertiary level institutes both in Sri Lanka and abroad with qualifications up to postgraduate level in Teaching of English as a Second Language (TESL).
