Organizational Development – OD Division
Organizational Development (OD) is more holistic and strategic process that helps organizations build their capacity to change and achieve greater effectiveness by developing, improving and reinforcing strategies, structures and processes.
Main Objectives of OD Division SLIDA
- To improve productivity and efficiency across the organization
- To bridge the gap between organizational Strategy and Organizational Capability: Take a holistic approach- The national vision of the government, emerging trends in the public sector management and present strategic capabilities of SLIDA
- To Create culture of change and Innovation
Organizational Development Division was established in year 2011 under the Additional Director General-OD. At the outset main functions implemented by the division were Organizational health check exercises and documentation of success stories of those organizations, developing competency framework, Conducting research, Undertaking policy studies, and publications.
At present main functions of the Organizational Development Division are;
- Hold the direct responsibility of results and target oriented Organizational Planning process- Strategic Planning
- Make arrangements to conduct organizational development services to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the service delivery of public sector institutions and SOEs
- Develop system to improve Management Consultancy process and monitor Management Consultancies / Organizational study processes
- Developing / Initiating International institutional collaborations
- Promote effective and efficient systems and procedures to enhance the Organizational Service delivery
- Establish a mechanism to enhance SLIDA customer base
- Identify needs and initiate Internal staff capacity development programmes
- Identify Suitable Professional Organizations for Networking and build such Network
